QUEST VOICES 2.1.1
By Von Djangos

Description:
ElevenAI generated voices for quest-giving NPCs in Morrowind. Works with OpenMw.

Currently adds almost 1000 original lines of voiced dialogue.

The intention is that every major faction questgiver will ask you about the status of the quest you're on, tell you if they have no jobs left, and recognise you becoming head of the guild.

I've tried to do the same with everyone who has a misc quest - like a naked nord or a lost pilgrim.

They're all trained on the original voice actors, so its 'vanilla friendly' ai, if that's such a thing.

The mod has expanded to included more than just quest givers, but lots of NPCs in Morrowind who have unusual greetings.

Currently covers in full:

Main quest - Caius Cosades, Huleeya, Mehra Milo, Wise Women

Fighter's Guild - Eydis Fire-Eye, Hrundi, Percius Mercius, Sjoring Hard-Heart

Mage's Guild - Ranis Athrys, Edwinna Elbert, Skink-in-Trees-Shade, Trebonius

Thieves Guild - Gentleman Jim Stacey, Big Helende, Aengoth the Jeweler

Imperial Cult - Kaye, Synnolian Tunifus, Iulus Truptor, Lalatia Varian

Imperial Legion - Radd Hard-Heart, Darius, Imsin the Dreamer, Frald the White, Larrius Varro, Varus Vantinius

House Redoran - Neminda, Fathal Retheran, Athyn Sarethi, Tuveso Beleth

House Telvanni - Raven Omayn, Arara Uvulas, Felisa Ulessen, Aryon, Dratha, Therana

House Hlaalu - Nileno Dorvayn, Uncle Crassius, Edryno Arethi, Yngling Half Troll

Temple - Uvoo Llaren

Morag Tong - Ethasi Rilvayn

Nerevarine greetings
Tweaks and fixes

2.1.1
Fixed the Nerevar check on Heresy greetings.
Fixed the bitrate on the 2.1 mp3 files to play in the vanilla MW engine.

What isn't covered?
Khajiit females, Orc males, Dark elf male voices*

Unfortunately their distinctive voice patterns are cleaned or 'ironed out' by the AI, which mistakes them for artifacts or background noise.

Aside from the Dunmer men, this just means Sugar Lips Habasi and Lorbumol gro-Aglakh from the vanilla game. All other major faction quest-givers are voiced.

*However, the Dark elf male voice that is created *is* pretty great - it just doesn't sound like the original Jeff Baker. I've used a smooth version for Master Aryon and his questline, and a gruff version for Athyn Sarethi.

FAQ:
Aren't AI-generated voices robotic/static?
They are over longer dialogue lines - when you put multiple phrases together. For short barks or a couple of sentances, with enough 'rerolls' and enough variance in the emotional output, you can get some stunning results.

Any tips for using ElevenAI?
1. When loading in your 25 samples, try to use the longest samples possible. Arrange the list by filesize, and be creative. Training the Breton Male voice will work better using the Chargen class questions than the standard greetings.
2. Keep the sentances short - the longer you try and run a dialogue block, the more likely it will either sound mad (too much tonal variety) or robotic (too monotone)
3. Pull the stability slider down to something like 20-25%, and get ready to reroll around 20 times to get a strong recording. Pretend you're a film director, and say 'I think we got it!' when you nail a take.
4. Putting "around a phrase" or a "word" can make the engine put emphasis on that word or phrase.
5. Exclamation marks and question marks do help guide the tone of voice.
6. Short sounds like Pah, Bah, Hmm or Meh can come through as authentic sounds.
7. The Dark Elf voice does sound good, just not like the original Dark Elf male voice.

Credits:
Everyone at the UESP pages. Without their work on writing out the dialogue and quest stage logic, this would have been a nightmare.

Lucevar for the demo video.

R0 - scripts and hacks to recognise Player Class.

ElevenAI - Scary, brilliant stuff.

Most importantly, the original Morrowind voice actors resampled here:

Michael Mack - Redguard males
Gayle Jessup - Redguard females
Lynda Carter - Nord females
Jonathan Bryce - Nord & Argonian males
Catherine Flye - Breton females
Linda Kenyon - Dunmer females
Jeff Baker - Imperial males
